Virtual reality peripherals

When we speak of peripherals, we understand how all that device that does not belong to the Central Processing Unit (CPU), in the case of Virtual Reality, has different devices that allow a better and greater interaction with the virtual environment and here we will indicate the main ones peripherals that compose it.

Leap Motion

Leap motion has been in the market for a while but with the launch of the concept of virtual reality is seeing a new life as a virtual reality peripheral. This peripheral is compatible with the OSVR platform and can be mounted in an RV viewer through a complement, and works with viewers such as the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift and allows manual gestures when playing with virtual reality. It is very precise and follows the fingers.

Virtuix Omni

This omni-directional treadmill VR treadmill has not finished taking off, but it is still considered one of the few pieces of hardware that let you walk in all directions in virtual reality. It is an excellent principle that makes you move your ass while you are present in virtual reality. The Omni works with the Rift and the Live, allowing you to run, turn, and walk in various games.

Oculus Touch

If you have heard of the Oculus Rift, you should be familiar with the Oculus Touch. Your touch controls are considered to be the missing parts of the RV viewer. The Touch is not only a pair of gloves that you can wear, it is much more immersive than a normal controller. The small crescent drivers you have on your fingers have tactile feedback, levers, sensors, triggers and four buttons.

Manus VR

As virtual reality tries to make a more immersive experience with each hardware upgrade, the creators of RV peripherals try to cover the fact that you are using a controller. There are several gloves that allow you to feel the virtual reality with your hands but the Manus VRusan gloves all over your arm. We are still working on the experience with gloves but when they are ready, it is likely that by the end of this year or the beginning of the next one, we will be one step closer to using your hands between virtual reality as you do in reality.

PS VR Aim

PS VR Aim, which is a Sony-approved peripheral for the Move control, is used to play shooting games more naturally, it was designed by the San Francisco studio called Impulse Gear, who also developed the RV Fairpoint game. This device provides direct tracking and allows you to enjoy the same experience you feel in real life when you aim for a target.

VirZoom

VirZoom is an exercise bike that provides an RV experience called VR bike. This peripheral has wireless sensors that are integrated into the pedals of the bicycle, so that you can feel the speed of your pedaling in the game. It can be used with the best VR viewers and its compatibility will be expanded soon. It's another piece of hardware that will become part of your life.

Unlimited Hand

This small accessory is one of the most exclusive and even frightening peripherals in the RV market. Unlimited Hand, a band that features haptic feedback technology compatible with Oculus and Vive devices via Bluetooth, can feel your same actions while playing a virtual reality game. When you move your fingers into reality, Unlimited Hand will adapt that information, and make your digital hand in the game perform the same action, if you make a gun shape with your hand, Unlimited Hand will identify that, allowing you to use this finger gun in a first person shooting game.

3DRudder

As soon as you move your feet in an RV game, most peripherals only use traditional techniques. But to deepen this concept, the designers devised a foot panel for virtual reality that allows the user to record vertical and horizontal movements using only their feet. But it still does not support jumps.
